Terms of Service

Last updated September 8, 2026

These terms set out the agreement between you and SYNTHIEN AI when you use the workspace. We have kept them short and in plain language.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using SYNTHIEN AI (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you accept these terms for that organization and confirm you are authorized to do so.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You agree to provide accurate account information and to be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. Do not upload content you have no right to use, attempt to breach or overload the Service, reverse-engineer it, or use it to build a competing product.

You are responsible for the documents, notes, and questions you bring to the Service, and for confirming you hold the rights to process them.

Your content

You keep ownership of the documents, notes, sheets, and conversations you create or upload. You grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to operate the Service for you, for example to retrieve passages and produce cited answers.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train third-party models without your consent.

Credits and payment

Runs on local models are free. Runs on cloud models are metered in credits, which you buy in one-time packs. A run’s credit cost is based on the tokens it uses; local runs never consume credits.

Purchased credits are non-refundable except where required by law. Prices and rates may change, and we will give notice of changes before they take effect. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we never store your card details.

Availability and disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is.” We may add, change, or remove features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Language models can be wrong or incomplete, so every answer carries its sources for you to verify, and you are responsible for checking outputs before relying on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SYNTHIEN AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will make it prominent before it takes effect; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
