Credits and billing
What a question costs, how funds are held while it runs, and the Billing page.
What costs credits
Work done by a model costs credits: a question, each section of a research report, building or refreshing a sheet, an AI edit to a note, planning and building a deck, and drawing a picture where a workspace charges for one. Browsing, editing by hand, exporting and printing cost nothing.
Holds
A question holds funds before it runs and settles to what it actually cost when it finishes, so a run can never spend more than the workspace has. The Billing page shows anything held by runs in progress.
The Billing page
Settings → Billing shows the balance in dollars and about how many runs it covers at recent rates, this month's spending, recent activity and payments. Redeem a voucher there; owners can Add funds where buying is open. An unused balance stays with the workspace.
All purchases are final: a balance is non-refundable, used or unused. Deleting a workspace forfeits its balance.
When a run is refused
- Out of credits: add funds, or ask an owner to.
- Spending is paused: runs that cost credits are stopped while a payment dispute is reviewed.
- Spend limit reached, or a model not on your plan: the message offers the way forward, such as the default model.
