Getting started

Projects, the workspace's three panes, and finding your way around.

Projects

A project is a named set of documents, and the chats, notes, sheets and decks made inside it. Open one and everything you make lands in it.

  • Type a question on the dashboard under “What are you working on?” and send it: a project is made for you, titled from what you asked, with a chat inside it.
  • Or choose “New project” on the dashboard, or in the workspace's Projects tab.
  • New notes, sheets and decks made from the dashboard ask which project they belong to first.

The workspace

The workspace is three panes side by side.

  • Left: your documents, and a Projects tab listing each project with its chats.
  • Centre: four tabs, Chat, Note, Sheet and Slide. The composer at the foot of each writes to the tab you are on.
  • Right: the Plan pane, where each step the agent takes appears as it takes it.

On a narrower screen the Plan pane folds to a thin rail; open it from the rail. On a phone the panes become three tabs: Corpus, Answer and Plan.

Getting around

  • The sidebar on every dashboard page: Home, Notes, Sheets, Slides, Files, then Support and Settings.
  • Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) opens the command palette: jump to a page, or type two letters or more to search your tasks, documents and passages.
  • Every note, sheet, deck and chat has its own address, so a link to one opens it directly.
